This Means, that should you or your customer forget the account they used for registering the PKC initially, there is no way you can regain access to the paid for Office product. Microsoft will not help (they say, they have no way of doing so) if you loose the product key or login to the account in question. When ever the PKC has been used, it can not be used to retrieve any information in the future. Users that register several keys under same account, should consider logging the keys in a local archive. I don't know if Office 2013 OEM is like Windows 8 OEM where there "kinda" isn't a product key, so it's possible that all you need to do is reinstall the software.Īs a reminder OEM software is only licensed for the hardware it was purchased with and cannot be transferred across different hardware.Īccording to Belarc, the product keys for Office 2013 is not stored locally on the computer, only the last 5 digits seem to be what is available for identification.
